When should you replace driveway?

Replace Your Driveway if it is Cracking, Settling, or Breaking Apart

When your driveway begins to crumble, or the asphalt shows signs of wear - it may be time to replace your driveway. If you've sealed your driveway numerous times, the layers of sealer will begin to peel off the asphalt. The driveway will crack, exposing aggregate in the asphalt pavement. Once the driveway is cracking, settling, or breaking apart, you may need professional asphalt repair or driveway replacement. The Atlas Team can assess the pavement for structural integrity, and propose a strategy to repair or replace any Long Island driveway.

Replace Your Driveway if you want a Change of Layout

If you want to change your driveway layout or replace driveway, our design team can offer suggestions and ideas that will increase the capacity of your parking. You'll only replace your driveway every 20-30 years, so it is important to get what you want when you decide to remove your driveway and replace the asphalt with new asphalt, concrete, or pavers. After we excavate for the new driveway, you may want to consider driveway expansion to make a little more room before we do the asphalt paving.  The Atlas Team can create a gorgeous driveway, complete with unique masonry designs that ensure you will have the best driveway in your area.

Replace Your Driveway if you have Poor Drainage on Driveway

If you notice poor drainage on your driveway, chances are that's indicative of a driveway in need of replacement. Pooling, puddling, or standing water on an old driveway is a liability, and hurts resale value. Replacing an asphalt driveway or parking lot is a good investment - and it may be the right time to consider adding drywells, catch basins, or other forms of drainage solutions. In your initial estimate, a member of The Atlas Team will suggest the appropriate option for your project, and offer competitive pricing for a great value asphalt paving home improvement project.

Replace Your Driveway if you want to add Borders, a Cobblestone or Paver Apron, or other Masonry

Since a driveway is a construction project that should last decades, it might be the right time to add Belgian Block borders, Nicolock or Cambridge Paver borders, concrete curbing, concrete sidewalks, or a paver or cobblestone apron. After we excavate your old driveway, our masons will install any hardscaping or design elements. This would be a good opportunity to resurface a stoop, replace a walkway, or even install a new patio. We offer discounts if you complete many aspects of your projects at the same time, and would love to discuss some elements about how our masonry contractors can boost your home value.
